Events Calendar

I view the conference and exhibition circuit as being a key balancer for me. So much of my professional time is spent dealing with online activity, these events are often my best chance to reinforce relationships in the real world.

I’m always happy to share my knowledge if invited, but I’ll also attend simply to take in new perspectives. I’ve been known to live-tweet events too (not as a professional journalist, just keen observer – if you want additional coverage for your event, feel free to reach out).

I’ll keep this updated as best I can. Do please get in touch if you have an event you feel I could support – it’s always good to step offline for a while. There’s a range of contact options here.

November – track leader at #TruNORAS, preceding the National Online Recruitment Awards, then guest at the Social Recruiting Conference.

October – ONREC 2010 and #ConnectingHR events. Both great learning and networking opportunities.

September – track leader at #TruManchester, the northern cousin of #TruLondon. Debating, cajoling and engaging on all things Twitter

May – supporting role at the Social Media Recruiting Workshop, again at the British Library in London. A mix of agency and corporate delegates learning some of the newer tricks available.

April – Social Media in Recruitment – Mike Taylor’s one-day event at the British Library. Great line-up of speakers, much to digest and a great tweet-up afterwards.

March – SXSW Interactive – “five days of compelling presentations from the brightest minds in emerging technologies”. It was actually much more engaging than that, one of the finest learning events I’ve ever been to.

February – #TruLondon – a truly unstructured event, 2 days focussed on all things recruitment. Track leaders from around the world, with a strong social media flavour.
