Infographic: The Google Brain

In Google+, Infographic, Personal on October 11, 2011 at 8:58 pm

I’ve been conscious recently that my memory is changing.  Not in some “old guy” kind of way (though that might also be happening!) but in terms of what I remember and how.  I’ve always associated particular keywords with topics very easily – and when someone mentions a topic on which I’ve previously read a relevant article, even if it was years ago I’ll be able to find that article in seconds.

Conversely, I no longer remember phone numbers, email addresses or dates – everything lives on my shiny little Android helper.  I was delighted then, when I found someone had done a decent job of piecing the various aspects of this into Google to see the complete picture. Rather fascinating.  The opener is below, the link to the full graphic follows. Enjoy!

Infographic: Twitter – History, finance, demographics

Not the most visually appealing infographic this year, but certainly some interesting stats coming out.  I was particularly caught by the note that nearly half of Twitter users have children. Certainly true of my personal experience, but I’ve never looked at that aspect.

Infographic: Killer stats on Google Plus

In Google+, Infographic on September 21, 2011 at 9:30 am

So Google Plus opens to the world today. Over the last few weeks, I’ve explored a little more and posted some thoughts earlier today. Now found this infographic, which seems to back up some of my thoughts around it being a hub for professional networking with a high rich-content factor. Click to get the larger version – enjoy!

Be interesting to see how this changes a month or two down the line – after all, the loose restriction to invite-only so far would have influenced it more towards early adopters sharing links on Twitter etc.  Wonder if anyone has stats on the source of new-user clicks so far?

Infographic: Facebook vs Google+

In Facebook, Infographic, Social Media, Social Recruiting, Start-ups on July 12, 2011 at 11:23 am

I luckily snagged a Google+ invite a week or so ago and I’ve enjoyed playing around a little with it. I’ve been a tad time-limited this week though, so I’ve not had chance to blog my thoughts.  However, I found a great infographic, distilling some of the key comparison points between Google+ and Facebook, which I think is the single most obvious competitor.
